Good quality and pleasing to the eye.

I wasn't expecting a very high quality collar when I ordered two of these collars - one for each of my cats - but I was pleasantly surprised at how nice they look and how strong they are, they seem. They are flexible but not flimsy and the metal parts look very nice. I originally ordered a small for one cat and a medium for another, but the medium is too big even for my big fat cat. I usually have to buy larger collars for him because most standard cat collars are too small, but the average size was loose enough that even the last hole made it easy to fall off. So I ordered another one in a small size instead. I ordered green for my regular sized cat and dark blue for my fat cat. For a normal cat, it should be in the very last hole, and for a fat cat, it should be in the penultimate hole, so cats don't have to go beyond the small size. I also really like that the collars come with a split ring for attaching bells and charms. They also come with two gold bells, but my cat's aluminum tags make enough noise for me. I tried putting one of the bells on a cat's collar but the noise drove me crazy during the day and I took the bell off. That being said, if you have an older pet that you need to keep an eye on, I think bells come in handy, especially for cats. If you have an outdoor cat, it's also a good idea to put a bell on her so she doesn't prey on anything that moves, for the sake of the environment. Overall I am very happy with these collars so far. However, one thing they can really improve upon is a moveable loop that allows you to adjust how tight or loose the collar is on the pet. When my cat's collars are in their two tightest settings, there is about 2-3 inches of excess collar sticking out. It's enough for one of my cats to grab it in its mouth, which I don't want for obvious reasons (because it destroys the collar, and I don't want it accidentally swallowing anything either). If the leather loop was moveable I could slide it down and fix the problem easily. This is my only complaint about these collars. Plus, my cats look great in them and I'm happy with their durability.

Pros
  • nice little thing
Cons
  • don't really like it, everything is fine
