Review on TERA PUMP Electric Fish Tank Water Pump: Submersible Pump with Hose & Filter Suction Tube by Elizabeth Oliva

Despite the bad reviews about the PSU failing, I bought TeraPump. After moving only 10 gallons of water, the power was cut, the red LED was not lit, the pump was unresponsive. I called TeraPump, they quickly sent me a new kit and I sent the defective one back. The pump works great in terms of ease of use and flow for water changes (not too hard, not too soft - slow) or more recently for NR delivery on a full tank by extracting 5 gallons (from 55), adding NR and pump back. By the way, this is an inefficient way to clean gravel, pressure just isn't made for it. A simple siphon fed gravel cleaner (self-priming is great) is still the best way; and easy to incorporate into your water change routine. Drain the dirty water and pump new water back in. Hopefully TeraPump fixed the power issue; if not, I'll be sure to let you know. Another suggestion to the manufacturer: make the wall of the plastic tube a little thicker; it bends too easily.
