My 4 year old son loves these shoes - has had them for a few years now and never wears anything else. He wore the first two pairs (blue and red) until he outgrew them; The velcro never failed and only the rubber at the top started to give out. Fantastic quality. We chose this lime gray pair and I am very disappointed with the quality. Something with the skin, one of the shoes fell apart completely. Completely unwearable, that's why I ordered red/white/light green. It looks like there is no such problem. So beware of lime grey. I think it might be because the suede was really brushed, possibly at the expense of the strength of the fiber.
