I switched to MSI as a regular user of ROG laptops (I had three ROG laptops before). MSIs tend to have better thermal performance and the fans are far less stressed than their ROG counterparts. I like the RTX 2070 Super, SSDs do a great job with it. Runs several modern games on the highest settings with no problems. However, if you want to get the most out of this laptop, you should consider setting it to a lower CPU voltage to avoid exceeding the performance limits. However, I did not notice any thermal throttling on default settings. The only weakness of this laptop is that the speakers aren't quite as good as the ROGs I've used in the past, but using external speakers or headsets is an easy fix if needed (speakers aren't bad, but they need to be recorded will). I can't comment on battery life at this time as I haven't fully highlighted that part yet.
