It's a little confusing that this product is advertised for 6 to 18 month olds because my 8 month old baby is in it swims . As other critical reviewers have said, the armholes and neck opening are too big for a small child, maybe even dangerous, and this sleeping bag would really benefit from additional armhole buttons to make it smaller for small children. It is only properly labeled as intended for children aged 6-18 months if we decide that *all* 18-month garments can be classified as 6-18 months. -old *fits* in (because anyone can fit in clothes bigger than them) but it is not considered *made* for a 6 month old baby. To truly deliver on the age-appropriate promise, it needs to be *adjustable*, which this item certainly isn't. What's nice is the quality of the material and construction, although admittedly I'm writing a day. After receiving it, I can't tell how well it holds up to washing and long-term use.
