It's a little confusing that this product is advertised for 6 to 18 month olds because my 8 month old baby is in it swims . As other critical reviewers have said, the armholes and neck opening are too big for a small child, maybe even dangerous, and this sleeping bag would really benefit from additional armhole buttons to make it smaller for small children.
