Review on Metra 95 7801 Installation 1990 2002 Vehicles by Jeremy Rodriguez

Revainrating 4 out of 5

This is NOT an intuitive setup or easy process, but it works.

It's like a Swiss Army knife; it "fits" many Honda and Acura models. But it takes a lot of patience and care to fix everything. The instructions are sufficient, but it is not very clear which parts/tabs/brackets need to be removed to "fit" YOUR car. My '96 Accord had all of the mounting brackets removed except for four small nicks on the trim cap. I used a Dremel cutting wheel (loved the smell and the mess or melting of plastic) to remove the outer burrs. Everything went fine except for the two bottom screws. When properly installed, the silver ends of the screws will be visible after the unit is installed. I used a dremel to trim and smooth the protruding ends of the screws, and then a sharpie to "paint" them black to make them less visible. This should be fixed by Metra otherwise the nice setup will look crappy. At least make the screws black instead of silver. Fits well after all tabs/side panels/covers/support brackets are installed and bolted to the radio. I hope I don't have to take it out again.
