Two of our schnauzers have been on this food for quite some time (approx. 8-10 months). Meanwhile, both had serious health problems. One of them began to lose muscle mass and hind leg function. Another developed convulsions. Neither we nor the vet could find out what was causing these symptoms. My wife's sister also had a schnauzer that regularly ate this food. The vet put both animals on anticonvulsant medications, which helped control the recurring seizures. We began to wonder what they had in common. I decided to take them out of the Honest Kitchen food and give them other quality food. My wife's sister too. Our dog, who lost hind leg function, began to recover after a few months, so we decided to wean our other dog off anticonvulsants. Same result, no more seizures. My wife's sister's dog also made a full recovery after removing this food from her diet. We withheld some of this food to send for lab testing as we suspect it may contain the ingredients that led to these horrible medical problems in these three Schnauzers. I hope others read this and can relate any issues they are currently having with their dogs to this food.
