I bought this whistle along with a few others to see which one works best for me. This one was a big disappointment. No matter how you tune it, the whistle sounds awful. It's like part of the air is escaping the wrong way or something. I bought a dog training whistle that cost two and a half dollars in a smaller size and ended up sounding a million times better. I thought the size of this whistle compared to the smaller ones would give it a better time but that's definitely not the case. The chain is a good idea, but to be honest it's just awkward and weird. I would suggest you use the smaller, cheaper metal dog whistles and just attach them to the lanyard.
