This only arrived an hour ago so this is based on my first impressions. I'm impressed to say the least. Great DAC/headphone amp. Very well done. There is nothing to complain about in terms of processing quality. In this price range, you never know what you're going to get. Bass and treble controls really add to the P1's versatility. I suspect they are analog. I don't really notice a change in sound quality when they're set flat and then turned on and removed from the signal path. But the possibility of their complete removal is a plus. I have the tube upgrades but even with stock tubes it sounds great. Radsone ES100 and iFi xCAN are available for comparison. I also recently had an iFi Zen DAC. This little gem tops them all with ease. More open and voluminous. The best dynamic. It's just sooo cute. Tons of available volume. And I like the volume levels in real life. If in doubt, jump down and place an order. I will be shocked if you regret it. Got it.
