The bristles are broken but work fine
When he opened it, two bristles fell out of the bag that was in the box before he took it out of the bag. He had wanted one for a long time, so he gave it a try anyway. Warmed up pretty quickly. His hair is very curly and coarse so it didn't go entirely straight, but what can you expect on the first try? He needs to tweak it a few more times to see if he can get better results.
