I have four children ranging in age from 1.5 to 6.5 years. I bought four of these different colors to take to camp and put name tags on them. I initially loved them because they're easy to open for kids, fit in cup holders, and really easy to attach to other things with a carabiner, but after just a few weeks of consistent use (huh? idea?! ), mine both of the youngest started chewing the spout profusely and now the youngest is completely devastated and unable to use the cup. I really don't want to spend money on new spouts every few weeks, although it's great that you can only buy that part (the rest of the mug is in great condition). In general, if your child doesn't tend to chew things, it's great! I just wish it was more durable because, well, kids. Also, if the cup gets hot at all, prepare for a fountain of water when you open it. Sometimes it even leaks by itself when CLOSED when you pour cool water and go outside and it gets hot. Again, this is a problem with the spout's durability as it will stretch with repeated opening and closing and then not stretch enough on closing to cause it to leak.
