Bucilla 86674 BUC86674 Felt Sweaters Review

This Felt Applique Kit is an excellent Arts and Crafts project for all skill levels of stitchers. As my tests showed, it contains everything you need to make super adorable little sweaters. The precut materials are high quality with easy to follow instructions. However, the kit only makes two small sweaters, so it's not ideal for anyone wanting to create an entire collection.

I have made half the decorations from this set so far and am very happy with the quality of the materials and the finished product. Bucilla does a great job creating these craft kits, but they're a little tricky if you're new to crafting. Some of the needlework patterns are difficult to follow, but YouTube is a great resource for video demonstrations. I also think that while rhinestones, sequins and other little things will suffice, the thread itself seems like the bare minimum.

This is my second Bucilla applique kit that I have purchased. All in one package: reference, instructions, threads, needles, sequins, beads, felt. The kit requires a lot of guesswork on how to craft these items. If there's one piece of advice I can recommend for this project, it's 1) read the instructions first, 2) separate your materials, and 3) buy some polyfill for the recommended parts to add size.
