Once properly installed, it will last a long time. However, there were no instructions included. Luckily I ordered two. I have a flat tire on my bike. I removed the old tube and replaced it with a new one. I've tried pumping a new hose several times to no avail. I finally assumed it was defective and cut it off the bike for easier removal. I then replaced it with a second tube and encountered the same problem. After fiddling around for a while, I found that there is a tip that needs to be unscrewed before adding air (no, not a cap, just a piece of tip). After pouting I had no problems.
