Totally agree with the previous two reviews, especially the Uberchemist with a list of pros and cons. I think text isn't as legible as on other phones because the LCD window has a narrower width, which makes the characters look very tall and narrow. The phones are very light but have very good build quality. Auto answer can be easily disabled for one or both lines by pressing a button on the base station. The speaking voice ("calls are not answered") is very pleasant. Most importantly, you can easily access Caller ID by simply pressing the down arrow on your phone and scrolling through the list. We have had Panasonic dual line phones for over twenty years. Our latest model was the best, using 5.8GHz technology, which is still the choice with the longest range and the least interference. But alas, our phones were worn out and irreplaceable. We tried a few newer Panasonic models. Panasonic phones had great external build quality (typical Panasonic) but everything else was just awful - loss of connection to base only 5ft away, complicated menus, missing features etc. I wish ANY of these phones had a better ringtone selection. You get 9 with this AT&T model, and at least 4 of them are extremely annoying. It remains to be seen how long they will last. I will try to update in a year.
