Composts very well! ; a bit thin with liquids/sauces after sitting on it for a while.
These products decompose in my compost heap in just a few days and I feel better about what may or may not happen to the things we throw in the trash. Do not recommend these plates or bowls for long term use (or second servings) of liquid dishes/sauces (e.g. instant oatmeal) unless you are a fast eater - they will become a bit brittle after the liquid has a been left on for a while. Overall worthwhile and better for the environment. They also stack much better than paper plates, take up less storage space,
