Review on Dorman 635-601 Engine Timing Cover Compatible with Acura and Honda Models by Charles Purnell

Part 635-601 from Dorman for Honda Accord SE 4 cyl. F22B2 1997 machine. The top and middle covers are in good condition. But the bottom cover has a defect on the left side. In the middle on the left side it has a projection in the form of a nose, which is larger than the original. This will prevent the left side of this cover from flattening out and sealing against the engine and center covers. After spending a lot of time installing this cover, I pulled it out and compared it to my broken original and that's when I noticed the defect. The nose is closer to 45 degrees, like the original's lip mold angle, but Dorman's part is closer to 90 degrees. THIS IS A DEFECT, NOT GOOD!
