I bought this brand and style because they had the most depth at the base. The cat loves the backpack! The cat would always run to the door to "join" us when it was time to walk the dog. She became more and more restless (crying and scratching at the door). Now I take her 3-4 times a week and she enjoys it. She still walks on the leash about every 5-6 days (now it's winter). But backpacking makes a big difference! I presented the backpack, left it open/unzipped and let the cat explore. When she agreed, I complimented her. After a few days I zipped it up almost all the way and took her for a 5 minute walk and then took her on one of her regular walks. Now she runs towards me when I unpack my backpack!
