These speakers look very nice, especially with the grilles removed. They also appear to be well built. These boxes are heavy! However, the sound quality is much worse than expected. The mids and highs are weak and the poor vocal performance is the biggest disappointment. The bass is good, quite tight, without booming muddyness. You won't get bored listening to them, and if you just want a nice pair of surround speakers, they'll get the job done. I first tested them on my desktop in a 2.0 setting for music playback. In general, I can say that there are speakers with a better sound for this price.
