I really like this pillow! I took it out of the box and left it in the room for a few hours to grow to its full size. Then I washed the bamboo cover on a delicate cycle and dried it at a low temperature. He hasn't shrunk at all. I would like to mention that I am very sensitive to chemical odors and my pillow had NO odor. I think that different sources of memory foam are used for the pillow filling and that may be why some people report smell and others don't. It's VERY comfortable, and you can adjust the firmness and height with some extra padding (or remove it if it's too big for your needs). The bamboo cover is very pretty and I don't use an extra pillowcase as it is washable. I also add extra padding and sometimes use it under my knees to take the pressure off my lower back and help with sciatica. It also works very well for that. Versatile great pillow.
