Used for grilling and I thought the results would be a little questionable if I was used to checking the chicken temperature. As soon as it loaded, the counter read 165 degrees. Given that it was around 70 degrees outside there were some concerns. I put the probe in the chicken and it took me a while to get to 153. But I just put the chicken on the grill. I put two probes in the same piece and got two different readings. Finally, I used my old digital meter (professional meter) and saw a 30 degree difference! My advice: if you buy one of these, check it often with a known accurate thermometer. I had too much time to send it back.
