Purchased Hitlights premium, high density, neutral white (4000K) lighting coils and their power supplies, connectors and cords to be used for lighting above and below cabinets in our new home (7 individual above and below the cabinet parts). The result looks much better than the build version, which would have cost over $3,000. I turned to Hitlights for help and their customer service team (especially Pepper) were invaluable as they gave me the confidence to use this custom component solution and helped me with the exact order. I had outlets installed above each section of the closet. Our cabinets (and many others) have a gap or channel that provides a convenient place to run cables from the top of the cabinets to the bottom of the cabinets. For each section of the cabinet I was able to connect the power supply to the top, then connect a dimming transformer with a remote control, cut a piece of LED strip to the specific length needed for that top section, and then connect 18 gauge wire for routing to bottom of the cabinets. Starting point, then connect to a second cut to length LED strip for under cabinet lighting. The result was a custom solution where I only bought the components I needed (7 power supplies, 4 coils, 40 feet of 18 gauge wire, and various connectors). I bought everything through Revain except for the Hitlights dimmable transformers with remotes (R106 Single Color RF Remote Controlled Dimmer - $4 each) which I bought from the HItlights website. Pepper from Hitlights calculated and shared what type of PSU I need for each. Section (60W or 24W) depending on the bulbs I purchased and the total length of LEDs included in my respective seven rows. She also informed me of the type of connectors I would need to get the job done without soldering. The solderless connectors worked great and all I had to do was connect the 18 gauge wire with a couple of nuts I bought separately. Overall, a great project result and an excellent customer service experience!
