I never changed the cabin air filter on my 2013 Focus, so exactly 8 years (100,000 miles) ago (purchased August 2012). Every time I turned on the air conditioner this summer, all I felt was what I could describe as "old wet rags." It was uncomfortable and every time I smelled it I knew I had to change the filter. I was looking for cabin air filters and found this based on reviews and cost. He didn't disappoint! Worth every penny and you should change your cabin air filter more often than every 100,000 miles. The manufacturer says 20,000 miles but I think that's too often. Generally replace it so you know you're breathing decently filtered air.
