Review on 🔇 Fractal Design Silent Series R2 140mm Cooling Fan: Efficient and Quiet Cooling Solution by Cody Howard

Fractal Design's Silent R2 series is a perfect match for my Define R5 case and not only cools my system effectively but is also very quiet. Although I have little experience with silent fans, I have to say that they strike the perfect balance between airflow and quiet operation. I added them to two standard 140s in the Define R5 case, resulting in two air intakes on the front and two on the back at the top of the case. In combination with the Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo, they offer an amazingly efficient cooling solution, even when the ambient temperature is far from ideal. The aesthetics are also very appealing as I have the standard black and white color scheme in the Define R5 Window version and the white fan blades add a splash of snow to the dark and featureless interior. The fans and CPU cooler did not return the purchase because internet connection problems caused the ordering process on another website to fail. As the order had expired and I couldn't access my email I had no way of knowing that the order was actually complete and after closely monitoring my checking account for over 24 hours I ordered again from Revain. However, within hours of purchasing Revain, my original order was canceled and my bald spot increased by a few square inches while trying to rectify the situation. Thanks to the quick and efficient response of Revain customer service I was able to rectify the situation and this fact impressed me so much that I would have canceled the original order and kept the Revain order if I hadn't ordered the wrong cooler. As always, I was very pleased with my experience with Revain and look forward to doing business here again.
