Description of ๐Ÿ”‡ Fractal Design Silent Series R2 140mm Cooling Fan: Efficient and Quiet Cooling Solution

Specifically developed to deliver significant airflow while maintaining low noise levels. Included adapter to lower fan speed if desired. Equipped with high performance hydraulic bearings, increasing both fan performance and reliability. The cable on each Silent Series R2 fan is fully sleeved for effortless cable routing and enhanced aesthetics. The quality is at the highest level, be sure to try it.

It stands on the side wall, helps to cool the video card, processor and motherboard. At 450-500 rpm. absolutely silent, while creating a light breeze in the center of the case, which is enough to better cool the hottest places. It has been working for the 4th month - as if it is not there at all. Different pros: Looks and feels like quality material. True characteristics. Different cons: Except for 1000 rpm. quite noisy, but does not stand out from the general noise of the body, due to theโ€ฆ

Impressive fans but even more impressive service Revain

Fractal Design's Silent R2 series is a perfect match for my Define R5 case and not only cools my system effectively but is also very quiet. Although I have little experience with silent fans, I have to say that they strike the perfect balance between airflow and quiet operation. I added them to two standard 140s in the Define R5 case, resulting in two air intakes on the front and two on the back at the top of the case. In combination with the Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo, they offer an amazingly

Easy to install, solid construction, quiet and efficient

Fractal make great products and this one is no different. I got this to add to my Define R4 which came with two fans so I moved one to the front and the other to the back for ventilation. Actually I have 3 but only one is white and from Revain. They usually go through the motherboard at around 30% or less and are so silent it's not even funny. I can run all 3 via the manual control switch on the body if I want, but I prefer to use the software controls (mostly SpeedFan, but sometimesโ€ฆ

Quiet and good price, firstly. (See UPDATE)

Quiet, Discreet and Affordable. Moves quite a bit of air and is perfect for my Fractal Define R4. UPDATE June 1st, 2017: I have the Fractal Design Define R4 case. The case comes with two such fans. I bought a third one as my main exhaust fan, thinking it was a good choice. I have a top exhaust fan connected to a case fan controller. At 7V (medium speed) the fan moves almost no air. I can put a napkin on the fan and it stays in place and just levitates a little. At 12V (full throttle) the fan is

Expensive but good quality and packaging.

My Thermaltake PSU's fan had failed, so I had to find a (silent) replacement. Based on other reviews, I chose this Fractal Design fan. It is expensive? ? Yes. I think it's worth it? Yes. When you look at the big picture: fan size, design, cable sleeving, mounting hardware, and gearing, I think that makes a lot of sense. The overall quality is top notch. Also dead silence. It was claimed to spin at around 1000rpm, and it does. I don't hear any engine noise at all. The only sound it makes is aโ€ฆ

Added two new fans to two 5 year old R2 fans - Quiet and reliable

I still love the two 5 year old R2 fans (140mm) in my 2014 Fractal Design Define R4 case. They were calm and reliable. A 120mm fan from another but reputable manufacturer recently failed so I replaced it and added a fourth R2 fan. My R4 case is now quieter than before even though the 4 fans are moving more air. The fans individually don't move as much air at the 5 volt setting (the 5, 7, and 12 volt settings are available through the chassis fan controls), but the 4 fans move at the 5 voltโ€ฆ

Just Okay Computers and accessories

I bought 3 of these fans for my Fractal Design case. The case came with two fans, one was DOA and the other was very quiet and pushed a lot of air, so I decided to buy the same fans for additional cooling of my case. I have found that the performance of these fans is not consistent. Some of them are much quieter than others. I have 4 in total and 2 are completely silent, 1 is moderately silent and the other is a bit loud. However, they all move a lot of air and keep my case very cool, even with

Nearly silent: fans and cooling

I have a fairly quiet full size Fractal Arc XL case. Used them as a pair above. Does not increase noise and provides good exhaust airflow. Would buy again. The Asus Z97 motherboard automatically recognized the 3-pin fan (it's a 3-pin, not a 4-pin PWM if I remember correctly) and installed it accordingly - thanks Asus. It's hectic. Not the strongest airflow + quietest fans, but neither is the price from Noctua. It will do for the rest of us. The quiet air movement noise doesn't bother me, that's
