This worked perfectly for my 2003 Mitsubishi Montero Limited which came from the factory with an Infinity audio system that uses an external amplifier. The wiring is straight and the connectors fit perfectly. An advantage of using an external amplifier is that you can get by with a low power/RMS radio/headunit/receiver since you have to use the preamp outputs from the radio/headunit/receiver and go straight to the headunit. It's worth noting that you need a radio with TWO sets (4 total) of pre-outs (front and rear) for this to work as intended. If you want to have a subwoofer, you need 3 sets (total 6).
