Review on All-Purpose Organizer by ClosetMaid in White by Eric Surabhi

Revainrating 4 out of 5

There was an assembly experience, it still cracked.

I have purchased and assembled several ClosetMaid products over the past few days. I had to learn and damaged a few from an assembly error, but this was the last one I built and I did everything right as I was told in the instructions. I have to give this one a small number of stars because the product cracked not because of a design flaw but because of a bad product. Out of several different products I have ordered from ClosetMaid, this was the most difficult to assemble. Instructions require glue and require assembly in a very specific order. Some of the larger pieces of ClosetMaid products that I have purchased were much easier to put together and could be made with little to no instructions. Just not this one! With some other products, the hardest part was nailing the back. Sometimes the nail went sideways and chipped off a piece of the white laminate. This was because the backing was too small and you could hit too close to the edge of the board. Fortunately, this problem did not occur with this product. I was very happy with how it connected until I turned it over and saw that the top had broken the entire top panel off the screw. It really sucks and I think you get what you pay for. I attach a photo of where and how it tore. I would recommend using one of the other products as this was the hardest to assemble and still had cracks after all the care and effort put into assembly. If you don't care about a cracked upper or you're ready to roll the dice, this is the perfect product for you.
