Looks better in person. Looks like treated leather! Beautiful bronze color. There is a slight smell of plastic on arrival, but it dissipates quickly. For the price I was expecting glue drips and a gnarly surface. Not so! Well done. Looks great in my decor. I love this little box. Holds more than remote controls! I have notepads, pens, an iPad stylus, a compact magnifying glass, lots of little things I like to have on hand when I'm watching TV, including remote controls. TV, DVD player, tuner, floor fan, fireplace. I placed my phone so that it was next to me and out of the way. A friend was visiting and she loved it! I sent her the link and she ordered two. One for the remote controls and other things, one for her husband who keeps them on his desk and he keeps his glasses case, wallet, pocket knife, chewing tobacco, pens and notepads, basically other man things. The table top is completely removed, everything folded neatly. (Happy Wife). cooler, my dear! Highly recommended.
