I'm new to nitro cold brewing, didn't follow directions on my first brew and made a few mistakes. On my first try, I brewed the coffee, put it in the fridge for a few hours, poured it warm from the French Press into a keg, and poured in the nitro without shaking. After that, I found that I had lightened the amount of coffee too slightly and lightened the roast too slightly, as well as not letting it steep long enough or correctly and finally not being able to cool the brew sufficiently. On my second try, I put the included coffee sachets straight into the uKeg with a good dark roast, chilled overnight, brewed up in the morning by shaking for two minutes, turned the dial to pour and bam! My cold drink was exactly the same if not better than the Starbucks nitro I had. Creamy smooth texture, taste and feel were perfect. After being prepared and stored in a pressure fridge, this drink lasted me and my partner for over a week. In short, I found this to be an easy way to make quality cold brew nitro coffee! I'm addicted to my uKeg Nitro Cold Brew Machine!
