I decided to try this model because I'm disgusted with other brands' access points, mainly because they either don't support multiple simultaneous wireless connections or don't assign new IP addresses (via DHCP) to wireless devices, until access is requested I am rebooting or rebooting the access point. Finally, this Netgear WG102 WAP works well and never stops connecting to a Wi-Fi device that requests access. Also, I never realized that each access point can support multiple SSIDs with different encryption modes at the same time. But this one does! So for the first time I have no complaints about the wireless access point! This one does nothing wrong and has more features than I would ever have packed into one unit for a decent price (I ordered it with the "blind faith" I wanted, not realizing all of its capabilities until I received it). Not a very smart move, but I was rewarded anyway. _Church
