In general, a good device, I bought a satisfied seven-year-old youngster. We have six speeds, and there are also perhaps twelve. The sprockets have a steel arc protection, so even if they fall, they won't be harmed. The only drawback is that it is a little hefty and challenging for a child to lift to a high curb.
