1. True story: I suddenly had to haul a 13 pound frozen turkey on a motorcycle. I only had this Carhartt backpack, which already contained a FedEx package and a small lunch box. Everything fit like magic and thank god I really wanted that turkey. There is plenty of space.2. I was in a motorcycle accident while carrying this backpack. (The pickup truck in Turkey doesn't matter.) The car pulled into my lane and I slid onto the sidewalk on my back. Not only did the backpack absorb all the friction, but it also protected my laptop, which was in the laptop compartment, and saved me from a Pyrex glass lunch box that shattered in one of the other compartments. Aside from a small fray on the outside, the only real casualty was the zipper on one of the side pockets, which melted from sliding friction. This is a good bag.
