A fun educational toy that perfectly introduces shapes, letters and numbers.

Mr Pencil My 3 year old daughter's favorite toy is the Draw and Write. I wasn't sure how she would take it because she has a tablet but she really likes it and spends time playing with it. She likes to carry the drawing and writing toy by the handle, it's perfect for her small hands. She likes to trace shapes, letters and numbers. She can use the included stylus or her finger to trace. I love that this is an educational toy and I really think it helped her to recognize the letters. It's easy to use, I showed her once and she can turn it on and know how to switch from shapes to letters, numbers and games. I really like how it says the name of the letter, shows the letter, shows how to write it, says the sound the letter makes, and has a pretty picture of something that starts with a letter. For numbers, it shows you a number, you draw it, and then you count it. For shapes, it says the shape's name, you touch it, draw, and then it shows the image with the shape. There are games when you press the spell key select the letter that makes the sound in the first level. On the second level they have to click on a letter to fill in the gap to write a word and on the third level they are asked to use the letter keys to write a word. It's a bit advanced for my 3 year old but I'm helping her with this and it shows me that this toy will challenge her and keep growing with her. There is a free draw button that you can use to draw anything (my daughter loves it). The Settings button lets you turn off background music (parents, you'll love this feature, I highly recommend it!), adjust screen brightness, and recalibrate. Overall I'm happy with this toy, my only complaint is that it gets frustrating when writing letters because it keeps making noises and doesn't recognize a letter when it lifts a pen or finger before it finishes the letter to which it leads to repeat letter or have to make several attempts. Also, we are very happy with this toy and I feel like it will get better with time. It's well built and has taken a few falls but still remains strong.
