This is so much more than just water shoes, these are my kids everyday shoes! All three of my kids wear them and they are great. They hold securely, have a great profile and are easy to put on and take off. (Although young children need a little more help since the fabric is flexible, they may find it difficult to handle on their own.) I wouldn't hesitate to ask kids to wear them for hiking or other adventures. The only "minus" if you can call it that, is that weeds, thorns or crevices can get into the mesh - so if you're out on a trail or in the weeds, you'll have to deal with that. At the same time I am a repeat buyer and will be with them again. Flexibility, width and profile make these kids' shoes AWESOME and healthy for your feet!
