Review on Duxtop E200A Portable Induction Cooktop - High-End Full Glass Sensor Touch Burner, 1800W Countertop with Stainless Steel Housing by Dylan Hohd

Wrong size for kitchen and dining room

Big Mistake: Cookware guides are completely misleading. The induction element is about 6" in diameter (suitable for a small 8-9" pan), while the outer guide that is applied to the glass is 9-10" in diameter (that's the base size for a large 12" pan ) and the inside is about 4" (small pot). This means that this hob is useless for frying large chunks of meat or fish, as the induction element only heats an area large enough for your small scrambled egg pan. Understand why guides are drawn differently than an element. Small downer: the temperature control is a little unreliable as it is a thermostat under glass so I have yet to find a happy medium with my various pots and pans - would be better without the halfway working temperature control, it feels like a solid hob. Too bad I need a different model for my larger cookware.

Pros
  • There's something to that
Cons
  • Not sure
