Provides even heating and easy temperature control.

This item was purchased so we can cook outside. We use it specifically to prepare food that leaves odors in the room. We like it, but it's quite noisy, which we didn't expect.

Meets my needs but read the instructions

Read the instructions and everything will be fine. It does not heat up unless an induction pot is placed on it. I use it as we speak for 2 CDs to make a large pot of chili. I bought this to use in my basement because I'm tired of my house smelling like days of cooking chili or food that takes hours to cook. . It suits my needs perfectly.

Good value for money

We use this item for everyday cooking needs. We've had cheaper brands and to be honest we've been happy with them. We are considering using only induction in the kitchen and have opted for a higher quality device compared to a cheaper one. This device is of very good quality. Very durable and very pleasant to use. I will visit Duxtop again anytime. I think it's worth the money.

Reliable Hob

We have been using an induction cooker for cooking for a long time. We are constantly on the move and recently moved to a new installation with a propane cooktop. When we have electricity, we prefer to use the high-quality 1800 watt portable glass induction hob with Duxtop touch sensor. PRO:1. Durable2. Finishes match our kitchen at Airstream3. Reliable cooking temperature4. Even the heat distribution CON: nothing to complain about I would buy again. We use it every day and prefer it to the…

Really great hob

This is my first induction hob. I bought it mainly to follow the One Pot One Shot (OPOS) cooking method. Now I cook in this and my Instant Pot most of the time. I rarely use a 4 burner electric stove. That's enough for all culinary needs. It has a great timer function that you can heat up for just a few minutes. The temperature range is handy - you can set it to a very low temperature like I use for boiling milk in the morning rush so the milk boils without spilling, or keep it very hot for…

Wrong size for kitchen and dining room

Big Mistake: Cookware guides are completely misleading. The induction element is about 6" in diameter (suitable for a small 8-9" pan), while the outer guide that is applied to the glass is 9-10" in diameter (that's the base size for a large 12" pan ) and the inside is about 4" (small pot). This means that this hob is useless for frying large chunks of meat or fish, as the induction element only heats an area large enough for your small scrambled egg pan. Understand why guides are drawn…

Far Away Temperatures / Not Suitable for Frying!

I've had mixed experiences with this induction hob. Temperature mode is useless as it warms up far from what the display shows. For the test I used a good quality enamelled cast iron pan with a base the same size as the white griddle on the hob, so this should give the most accurate results. I have cooked red beans and rice with sausage, which takes some time over low heat to cook. I set the temp setting to 300 Fahrenheit and after it had been running for about 20 minutes, I used a digital…

Very disappointed. Limited and uneven heating

. I bought this to grill steaks and other food outside on the patio to avoid smoke in the house and setting off a smoke alarm. This hob is useless for that. Due to the "overheat protection" it doesn't let the pan heat up enough to get a good browning. It limits the temperature of the pan to around 460 degrees. Because there is such a lag between the actual temperature of the pan and the temperature sensor in the device, the temperature of the pan drops to about 280 degrees as soon as you place…

My third induction hob. Like

My first was from a thrift store. I really liked it but it was all plastic and melted, cracked and broke after a year. It only had the power level (which I prefer) and no time settings. The second was brand new in the box at a flea market and only had temporary settings. After 18 months, the plastic labels on the buttons cracked and fell apart, exposing holes in the circuitry. Both appeared to be "matched" to the pan they came with, which I never received. They start out very strong and after a
