Apple scissors are a lifesaver if you have young children, for example if you enjoy baking with apples or if you just love apples. An apple peeler slices them evenly while you line up the core and give it a little head start. This apple knife is not very sharp like others I've had in the past. Once you start cutting, you need to follow evenly or you'll end up off center. The product itself has a transparent plastic body with metal blades and rubber handles. The handles sit high, so you'll need to get a head start before going all the way through the apple. I guess they made them big so you wouldn't break your knuckles cutting, unlike the flatter versions that you have to use with your palms. I gave it 3 stars because the plastic makes it less durable than the all metal body. Over time, all plastic models tend to break or crack.
