Found this cheapest camera on The Wirecutter blog (kind of a Consumer Reports blog version that tests and verifies all kinds of electronics) and in a year possession I am quite satisfied. It's very easy to program once you know the specific settings, and you have a variety of preset lighting or situational conditions to choose from. It can produce a blurry image in low light, but this is fairly common with point-and-shoot shots. The nice thing is that it's wireless, so I was able to transfer photos from the camera to my iPad and iPhone using the Canon iPhone app even without internet access. You can also connect it to a regular Wi-Fi network and transfer photos that way. The advanced settings are a bit tricky for those who haven't used more advanced cameras, but setting them to the default settings gives you pretty good photos. Oh, and I've never had a single red-eye photo with this camera. Great camera for everyday use.
