My Sony Mega CD player suddenly stopped playing and an error message appeared on the display. After inspection, it turned out to be rubber on the engine. I didn't want to operate on a player, but I didn't have the funds to get him into the store. Before I started I watched the procedure 5 times on youtube and was glad I went for it. The straps fit perfectly and the player sounds just as good as it did out of the box. If this is an issue with your player, I recommend trying this yourself.
