Review on Wet N Wild Makeup Sponge by Kristen Cunningham

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Very similar to the RT sponge but better and I prefer it to the Beauty Blender

Great makeup sponge! I wish I could try this sooner and save my money. It outperforms every sponge I've used and I've tried over 10 brands/sponges. It's a great value, very easy to care for, soft but not too soft! I clean it with regular brush soap and it cleans well. This is the best sponge in the world, and for $3 who can beat it? Wet n' Wild will kill them! Below I will share my experience with this Wwnw sponge and how it compares to other popular sponges. It's a little long-winded, and the highlights are above! It stretches well when wet and has adequate rigidity. I love its shape! I can do everything with it, from powder, contour to foundation. It has a nice rebound and leaves your foundation flawless! It doesn't have the huge pores of pixie pink, which is my least favorite sponge. But he doesn't take on tons of product either, he looks like a pixie sponge but isn't quite like it. The pixie sponge doesn't absorb any product so I guess I don't like the pixie sponge, I can go and smooth out the excess concealer/foundation. WNW doesn't have that problem, it absorbs just the right amount of product for a good mix. It's very similar to the Real Techniques Blender Sponge I've used before, but I love the improved version! I can clean it faster than RT or BB and use less detergent. It came out with a lot of pink reeds in the wash before I used it, but that's normal for pink sponges. After the 2nd wash the pink color stopped flowing. I've washed it 5 times and it still looks brand new. It's a bit like a beauty blender but way better and a bit thicker which I honestly like. I've had a few true beauty blenders before, but I prefer other sponges because they're too soft and absorb a lot of product. Also, I hate paying $20 for a sponge that I'm going to use for 2 months because that's how long they usually last on me.
