This lens would be great if it weren't for the chromatic aberration at the bottom and top of the zoom and the fact that the lens doesn't interact with the camera in live mode. CA occurs below 35mm and above 125mm and is very poor. If you shoot in RAW format and use an image editing program, the CA problem can be solved. However, I don't do both. It's annoying to have a lens with such utility, but one that's limited to a narrow range of uses. Second, the lens only works in viewfinder mode - switching to live capture mode locks the camera (T3i and T7i), ie turns it off. I had to remove the battery to unlock the camera. I called Tamron (I have another 16-300mm lens, not international, with the same issues) and was told the lens needed a firmware update. These are known issues. You will NOT touch the international lens even if I want to pay for the repair. CA's problem is a design issue and they thought photo editing would solve it. Firmware updates are developed individually by lens serial number. They will contact me when they are ready. That was 7 weeks ago. I am not satisfied with these lenses. The promise of a good all-round walking lens was not kept. I'm getting rid of those lenses and going back to Canon multi-lens lenses. I'm surprised these issues haven't come up in other reviews. Google it and you will find many comments.
