First of all they are ready to use, batteries included - I really liked that. The remote control (also with batteries) works quite well. Sometimes I have to be right in front of the candle for it to work. The gold-colored base part has some weight, looks solid and "massive". The set also had clips/holders and suction cups which I didn't use this time but they seem to be of the same quality as the rest of the set. They are versatile in the sense that I can use the base on the windowsill or attach it directly to the window AND I can choose to have the "flame" look constant or flickering. Finally, there are buttons on the remote to choose between 4 or 8 hours of operation (or I can just turn it on or off). I love them so much I'm considering getting another set!
