They are definitely not "surgical steel”, as they say. The very first belly button ring itself was one of my first belly rings and I left it on for about a year and it never changed color. As you can see the orange belly button ring on the front is one of the 6 belly button rings I bought in the picture above. It was only in my stomach for about 2 months and it completely changed color and wasn't silver anymore. I had an allergic reaction because I'm allergic to some jewelry and can only use stainless steel, but obviously it's not stainless steel and I wouldn't have a problem and my belly button ring wouldn't stain. I'm very upset that I spent money on jewelry I can't even use.
