This has been on my desktop for a year now. We've been away 7 of those months and I still don't use the car that much anyway. Yesterday I found time to remove the old carburetor which took longer than installing a new one. I tightened everything up, hooked up the hoses, pulled the air damper a couple of times and it all started right away. I took it outside expecting to do some tweaking to get the correct settings. Absolutely perfect movement and idle, don't touch anything. The old carburettor ran on ethanol and was glued together. No ethanol is used. It also doesn't smoke anymore. Best quick fix I've found and easier than rebuilding an old carburetor.
