I am an avid cyclist. I ride about 25 miles a day in Seattle year-round. So I know my way around bike lights pretty well. I bought it to replace my reverse light. However, it will be a great main light. The battery life will outperform my longest trips. The quick flash made me more visible to cars (because they don't give way before). It should be noted that when removing the light after a ride, the bracket is left on the bike. The strap and buckle don't fasten together and I almost lost the strap. The light is easily removed with the bracket remaining securely in place.
