These USB extenders are especially good for my application. I use them as DC extension cords. I have several Panasonic camcorders and often use them with an AC adapter. The power supply has a USB end that plugs into the power supply. The only problem is that the common cord is usually never long enough to reach an outlet. When I hook a heavy extension cord to the power supply, it pulls on the power cord, which is not good. I needed something to boost the performance of these camcorders. I've been looking at DC extension cords, but the Panasonic DC plug end is a little different than regular extension cords. Cable Matters did it. I don't care about the speed of the USB as it's strictly for transferring DC power. What I like about them is that the actual cable size is smaller and therefore more flexible. They hang and drape well, and the video cameras aren't loaded. Good product. I plan to get more of these, in different sizes.
