Speck makes the best iPod cases in my opinion. You can of course buy thicker cases that protect the entire iPod, but they tend to look and feel like a small wallet. I've had several cases but never found one that fit until PixelSkin came out. I use it on my iPod 3G. This case is best suited for ease of use. It's thin but thick enough to offer good protection and the texture of the leather makes it very easy to hold. It can be placed on a surface and retains plenty of friction so it won't slip off yet is smooth enough to slide in and out of your pocket. The rubber texture is the right combination of hardness and softness. It's strong enough to protect your iPod, but not too heavy to handle or fit comfortably in your hand or pocket, and the material doesn't absorb lint or dirt like some silicone/gel cases. Pixelskin provides easy access to all iPod controls and features. It doesn't cover or protect the screen, other than covering the edge of the bezel so if it falls all the way down with the screen down, the screen can "fall nicely" and not make contact with a hard surface. I've had this suitcase for about a year and it has kept its shape and hasn't been worn at all. I think this is a great product and fantastic value for money.
