The cover is PAPER! It is not surprising that they immediately dissolve. The last time I bought a vented cushion for a car was in 1997 and they looked exactly the same; with steel springs and a woven nylon cover, and at least that's what it looked like in the photos. So imagine my surprise when I received this and found that the cover was now made of PAPER. Yes, PAPER. (See the photo of the packaging I have attached). No wonder they fall apart in a few months! Nowhere in the published specs does it say anything about it, just a nylon binding and steel frame. Also, the originals had a woven cover material on both sides, this one has a thin reverse-type material on the bottom. which breaks down quickly. My old seat lasted for many years because it was made out of nylon and not paper. It goes back to Revain.
