In all these years I've never had a problem with potty training indoors. until now. My oldest daughter is 15 now, she has health issues and needs to pee every few hours. She needs my help going outside due to our stairs on deck and possibility of her falling and I need 2+ hours of sleep. 4.1 nights minimum: I made her "pot" out the back door, put a bath mat (for a more stable spot that doesn't move) and set the pot on top. I placed two puppy training pads on the tray to soak up the urine and placed grass on top. The last time she went potty before bed, I put a paper towel under her for a moment as soon as she started urinating just to catch some urine and placed the paper towel under the grass on top of the potty. The first few nights I checked to make sure the potty room was being used properly, that was it! I can't tell you what a relief it is! It has made my sweet girl's life so much easier, she no longer goes out on a cold night and hurts her old hips to keep walking up and down those stairs, she is not out of breath waiting for me to take her put on the potty . It changed everything! Still, it was the fastest and cheapest and it definitely does the job, but it's not rocket science and there's much better quality out there! Now that I know this is an A+ solution I will make a permanent solution with better materials and structure.
