Nice jug, poor quality

I liked the size of this jug and that it had a lid. Unfortunately, after a few days of use, I heard a faint squeak when I lifted the pan to pour out its contents. Upon inspection, I found a crack at the junction of the handle and body. I suspect other borosilicate glass pitchers/kettles with this kind of flimsy handle might have the same problem. So buyers beware. I will be returning this jug and buying a stainless steel jug instead.
